My Birthday weekend

So my birthday was on Sunday September 5th, woohoo! haha It's not really a big deal. Just another reason to spend some time with the hubby and family. And those are my two favorite things to do. For my birthday I really wanted to go camping! Scott and I hadn't been at all this year, so we decided it would be fun. Unfortunately my birthday usually equals labor day weekend, but we lucked out and got a campsite in Florence anyways. I love camping at Honeyman! It's so amazing and awesome there. Plus I really love Florence. So for an adventure Scott and I on our way to the coast decided to go North of Eugene and then over and then down to Florence and on our way home we went South of Florence, then over, then up to Eugene. Definitely a longer way to get to the coast and home, but so worth it. The drive is amazing! While at the coast we visited the beach, ate salt water taffy, bought a new candle, made s'mores, rafted in the middle of the lake and lounged, caught some really cute salamanders, went to the beach at night, made foil dinners, made yummy breakfast of eggs and sausage, went to the fish ladders in Roseburg, and most of all just enjoyed each others company. It was a great trip! Can't wait to do it again. I love adventures with Scott. He is so fun. :) Oh and the day before my birthday we had a family party for me at my mom's house. I love my family. They mean the world to me and I don't know what I would do without them. I wish life wasn't so busy, so that I could see all of them more often. I am very fortunate to have a family that is so close. Thanks everyone for making my birthday so awesome!

Above is the Fish Ladder. It's a Maze of Cement to help the Salmon and other fish get up the dam to go up river. It was actually pretty cool, because you could go down and see the fish as they were trying to swim up.

Happy 2 Years to us!

Ok Ok I know our Anniversary was over 3 weeks ago, but I have been super busy! But in a good way. :) I have been doing a ton more photo shoots lately and weddings. It's keeping me busy along with my actual job where I make real money...blah. haha

So. For our anniversary we wanted to do something fun and different, but not too expensive, since we are on a budget. So my amazing husband came up with the idea to take the train to Portland instead of drive. It was the best idea ever! All I wanted for our anniversary was to spend time with each other and relax, because with our schedules, we don't get to relax often. And honestly he is my favorite in every way. He is my favorite person to be with, my best friend, my husband, the one I can always turn to, and the one who will love me now matter what I look like, the mistakes I make, or how emotional I get sometimes and drive him crazy. He loves me for me and I always tell him I love how much he loves me. He makes me so happy :) There is no doubt in my mind that these past two years have been the BEST. Who cares about the hard times we have had, because the Amazing times are all that matter and are the only ones that I care to remember. No one is perfect and I have learned that no matter the problem, we can work it out, because "us" is what is important. I just wish everybody could be as happy with their husband as I am, but sadly I know that is not the case. I feel truly blessed to have found the man of my dreams, the future father of my children, and the man I wake up to every morning more in love with and excited to spend the rest of my life with. What else can I say.... I just simply love him. And you know you are meant to be with someone when you get each other the exact same anniversary card! from different stores on different days! haha

Ok Ok I'm done with all the sappy lovey stuff no one cares about but me. :) So our trip was so much fun! we took the train from Eugene to Portland and it took about 2 hours and we got to sit back, relax and not worry about driving. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. It's more expensive then driving, but for Scott and I it was an adventure and well worth it. Plus we both had never been on a real train before. Luckily getting around Portland without a car is pretty easy with the Max. Love that thing. Once we got into Portland we checked into our hotel and then went straight to the Portland Zoo. :) So fun! I love all the animals. But I did get a little side tracked and took a lot of pictures of the people there. haha the outfits crack me up. I'll post pictures below. so anyways, after the zoo we actually took a nap for a couple hours and then went off to dinner downtown Portland. The next day we just relaxed, ate breakfast, then boarded our train to go back home. It was a short trip, but an amazing one. We definitely needed a weekend of just us.

Haha so my own section of What Not to Wear:

Something to pass the time...

Scott and I are going on a much needed date tonight to a movie, but I don't which one yet. So this is what I'm going to do to pass some time while he is at work and I know it has been forever! to say the least that I have posted anything. I really just don't have much to write about. Scott and I do about the same thing everyday.....and that is Work :( haha

In the past couple of months we have hiked Silver Falls, Rescued a Kitty ( Which is so so Sweet and needs a new home..lol  I don't want 3 cats) , Floated down the Willamette River, ate a lot of BBQ, had family in town, and I think that is really it on the fun part of things so far. We are definitely looking forward to our 2 year anniversary in 3 weeks! :) I Can't believe it's been that long already. We have something fun planned, but will share later once I have pictures. Scott and I are doing great! Just keeping really busy. So here are some Pics from the last few months because I have nothing else to write. :)

Alice in Wonderland

Scott and I went on a date last night to see this movie because we have been wanting to for awhile now. Overall I think it was entertaining but not great. I feel as though they left out a lot of information. The Red Queen was my favorite though. She made me laugh :) lol It was one of those movies that I wished I would have waited to see once in was on Dvd. I would definitely recommend seeing it, but I wouldn't pay the $9 for it in theaters. Next I really want to see Iron Man 2 and The Last Air bender when they come out! :)

I know this makes me sound like a nerd...but I love this show! haha it makes me happy. Scott will even watch it with me most of the times. He doesn't like the singing but he thinks it's pretty funny. So if you have never seen it, you should give it a try. :) I for one love the singing. Tuesday nights with Lost and Glee, couldn't ask for more. lol

Life as of now...

So life has been busy! Scott and I took an awesome trip to Utah for 10 days in March to visit some of our friends and family :) It was so fun to get away for awhile. We mostly just relaxed and ate a whole lot of yummy food! I just love being with my husband, it doesn't matter where we are. He is my favorite. :) While we were there I took some pics for one of my good friends Elizabeth and her amazing family. She has the cutest little boys ever! I love them. (Pics on my other blog)

So here is an update on life since my last post...

All in March I became the new Assistant Manager at Cafe Yumm!, Found out I have Hypothyroidism, which basically means my thyroid doesn't function that well so I have to take a little pill everyday to make up for that. It's nothing serious, just annoying. :) , and finally, Scott and I decided to pay off all our debt in hopefully a year. So we made our monthly budget last night and are going to stick to it. It's amazing looking at where all our money goes and it's really sad at how much money we waste. Scott and I are not big spenders to begin with, I for one hate to shop...so I know we can do it! :) I am so excited to not have any debt. In the last couple weeks we paid off all our credit cards! We no longer have to worry about those. Now on to school loans and paying off our new car. I know it's not going to be easy but if we stick strictly to our budget then we can get about 80% to 90% of our debt paid off in a year and then we get to buy a HOUSE! I am super stoked! and then kids will hopefully come into the mix. We really want to be financially stable before we have children. I want to be a stay at home mom and not having to worry about money. I want my kids to have the best start and all the attention they deserve.... and I want kids so badly! I want to be a mom more then anything :) I know we can do this! I can't imagine only having a house payment every month, it's going to be so nice. I love my husband and all he does for me. He wants to make our future the best it can be and this is the first step and sets the foundation for the rest of our lives. Here's to being grown ups and having a life plan. IT FEELS GREAT! :)

NEW CAR!!!!

GOODBYE JEEP WRANGLER :(

HELLO 2008 PRIUS :)

For awhile now Scott and I have been wanting to get a more gas efficient and a more future family friendly car. So on New Years day we went to the Toyota car dealership just to "LOOK" at this Prius Scott saw online for a really really good price. We got there and loved the car of course! It was in amazing shape, got awesome gas millage and was also way too technical for me at first. haha So we bought it that day after a ton of negotiating because it was just too good of a deal to pass up. So we said goodbye to Scott's Jeep which we loved and brought home a new car. It's still really strange that we don't have his Jeep anymore. I have so many awesome memories of that car and it is missed. BUT! I am so excited about our new car. We have taken it on a few trips lately to test out the gas millage and it didn't disappoint at all. When we took our little trip to Florence we filled up the gas tank in Eugene then drove the 50 ish miles to Florence and the drove all around town and the coast and then all the way back to Eugene. We used I think around 125 miles or so that trip and when we got back to Eugene we filled the gas tank back up to see how much we spent and so we could calculate our average gas millage. We ended up spending a little over $6 for the whole trip and a little over 2 gallons of gas, which averages out to 74ish mpg that trip. WE WERE SO HAPPY! Scott's Jeep got about 16 mpg. So, we are excited for when we get to take our road trip to Utah in March! I'm very interested in how much it is going to cost us. A few things about the car that I've had to learn are that it never sounds like it's running. You can hear the engine barely at all to the point where it's kind of creepy. haha It has a 6 inch touch screen that contains a backup camera, so anytime I'm in reverse I can see everything behind me. The screen also is where you control the music, climate, and you can see your average millage and what source you are using whether it me the battery or the gas engine. To put the car in park is just a separate button and to start the car is a button too. With our car you don't even need to stick a key in, just as long as it is in the car you can start it and drive. It's creepy and awesome! So we love our new car. I'm excited for all the adventures it's going to be used for. We are very happy with our decision. :)

The Oregon Coast ...aka Love :)

Scott and I went to the Florence Coast last Sunday and it was beautiful as always. It's truly one of our favorite places to go. These are some pictures I took :) While we were out of the Jetty we saw a bunch of seals. They were so cute!
