Caribbean Cruise 2011

Some of you may know that Scott and I went on a cruise on October 15-22nd with his parents Wendy and Bill, and let me tell you...IT WAS AMAZING! We first flew out of Portland and into Orlando, Florida where we stayed the night before boarding the cruise ship the next day. Our first stop was Labadee, Haiti where the cruise ship owned a private section of land. There we swam in the Caribbean ocean for around 6 hours. The water was so warm and SALTY! Yeah don't ever get that stuff in your mouth. Haha but the Island was Gorgeous! We loved it. Also this is where we got SUPER burned because we are all super white and it was about 100 degrees out with a sun level of 10 and also sun screen didn't seem to help much, Haha so we were in some pain the whole trip but it was worth it.

Our next stop was Falmouth, Jamaica. It was gorgeous there! We mostly walked around the town and saw the sights, we even took a trolly at the end of the day that drove us around the city. We got to see how the people really live and how most of the city is very impoverished. It was an amazing experience to see how other people live. It definitely makes you grateful for what you have. We were able to visit on of the oldest churches on the island and go inside and walk around. It was beautiful. Jamaica was one of our favorite stops for sure. The people were so friendly and always nice. :)
After Jamaica our next stop was suppose to be the Grand Cayman Islands but since the weather was so bad and because it was the only port we went to that the boat couldn't dock next to the island we couldn't go. :( We were very sad but once we saw the 15 foot waves crashing against the boat we totally understood.

Our final destination was Cozumel, Mexico. It looked like a jungle. It was so cool! We didn't spend much time in Cozumel because we took a 45 min. ferry over to Playa Del Carmen and then a bus to Tulum where we saw the Mayan ruins of Tulum. One of my favorite experiences in life so far! I have always loved old ruins and always hoped I would see some someday. They were located on a cliff over the ocean. Let me tell you, you won't ever get a better view then that. It. Was. BREATHTAKING! I would definitely love to go back someday. Oh! and there were iguanas everywhere! We saw about 12 just walking around the ruins.

Oh and the ship itself was amazing! It was HUGE. Our room was an inner one with no windows. The bathroom was very tiny but it worked. I only got nauseous the first few days and only when I was going to bed. I only felt the movement of the ship when I was in our room, but I took some Dramamine and it took care of it all. We got to eat food whenever we wanted, watched movies in the theater, saw many shows/plays, swam in the pools and hot tub, had fancy diners, played in the casino, relaxed on the open decks, read, played games, and most of all we just really enjoyed ourselves. The staff was awesome! I haven't met nicer people in a long time. Every night we got back to our room and there was always a towel animal waiting for us on our bed. Our room was always clean. I would love to go back on a cruise. I get sad sometimes looking at all my pictures because I want to go back so bad! I definitely recommend it to anyone! Now here are some of my favorite pictures......

Lame is ME

Blogging is really hard for me! I never have time and when I do have time I don't really want to sit in front of my computer anymore. Haha so I have 30 minutes before work and I'm going to try and play catch-up.
